The race that put Waynesfield Raceway Park on the map returns for the seventh straight year this Saturday night, July 25th.  Hall of Fame driver Jack Hewitt once again brings the annual Jack Hewitt Classic to Waynesfield, Ohio for a night of racing sprint car fans dream about.  The Buckeye Machine Non Wing sprints headline the 7th Annual Jack Hewitt Classic with $3000 in prize money awaiting the first driver to take the checkered flag.  The K&L Ready Mix NRA Sprint Invaders make up the winged portion of the evening invading for the final time.  The USAC HPD Midgets also make their final stop of the season, their second ever appearance at WRP.  Waynesfield’s very own Performance Powder Coating Mini Sprints will join the USAC stars in a true non-wing showdown.  Pit side gates for the 2015 edition of the Jack Hewitt Classic swing open at 4PM.  Grandstand gates open at 5PM.  Cars begin to push off for hot laps at 6PM with racing following at 7PM.  Adult general admission is just $18.  Kids ages 11-15 years old are admitted for just $9.  Anyone under the age of 10 is admitted for FREE.  Pit admission is $30.
The charity kickball event that was rained out during Ohio Sprint Speedweek will take place take place Saturday afternoon at 1:30PM.  All proceeds from the kickball game will be donated to Kick-It to support continued cancer research.  Kick-It is national volunteer organization focused solely on the raising of funds to support children’s cancer research.  A 10-year-old Ohioan, Quinn Clarke, founded the organization during his second battle with cancer.  Since the founding, Kick-It has received mutual aid from other various organizations including NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon.
