(Plymouth, IN)  The World Series of Dirt will feature the fastest five classes of racing in the Midwest on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Plymouth Speedway, and it will also benefit a fellow driver.

The 30-lap, 410/360 Winged Sprint event that evening will also be known as the #BulldogStrong30 as fans and drivers will be urged to gather donations for Sprint Car driver Kevin Swindell.  The popular driver and four-time Chili Bowl National winner experienced injuries sustained in a crash during a qualifying heat race for the Knoxville Nationals.  According to published reports, Swindell flipped his Winged Sprint at the start of the heat race on Aug. 13.  The 26-year-old driver has since undergone two back surgeries at an Iowa hospital.  He has reportedly been discharged from hospital care.

Swindell also started in 30 NASCAR XFINITY Series races.  He has two ARCA race wins as part of his career statistics.

Helmets will be passed around on Sept. 12 at the Playground of Power to aid Swindell on his road to recovery.

In addition to the 410/360 Sprints, the Swan Lake Resort UMP Modifieds, WTCA Super Streets, Walmart Thunder Stocks, and Dickies Restaurant 600 Open Sprints will take to the track in fashion for the last time in 2015.  The gates will open at 4 p.m., hot laps begin at 6 p.m. and racing begins at 7 p.m. ET.

Before that, the G.A.R.S. (Great American Racing Series) will get “Down-N-Dirty” at the Playground of Power on Saturday, Aug. 29 for a 125-lap contest while the World of Outlaws will participate in the last event of the year on Oct. 17.  For more information, visit plymouthspeedway.net.
