Susquehanna, PA — (January 15, 2016) — As the countdown continues to the first green flag under new management at Susquehanna Speedway, race fans will see an aggressive schedule in the first season for new track owner Scott Gobrecht and general manager Kolten Gouse.
Beginning with a Saturday, March 26 opener featuring the Super Sportsman, forty-one races grace the schedule that will run through the season-ending Final Showdown for 410 Sprints in early November.
The Super Sportsman will see the most action this season at the racy York County oval as the division is set for 19 appearances at the track. Some of the highlights of the Sportsman season will be the Sportsman 100, the Firecracker 40 and the York County Nationals.
The 358 late models will see action 15 times this season as will the street stock division. Both divisions were a major part of past seasons at the track as well.
The Extreme Stocks and Road Warriors will be in action 16 times in 2016 while the PASS/IMCA 305 Sprints will have nine race dates throughout the season.
The ARDC Midgets have eight race dates while the 410 Sprint cars will have 7 appearances during the season.
Other divisions on the schedule include the Central PA Legends (5 dates), Mini Vans (5 dates), 358 Sprints (4 dates), Penmar cars (4 dates), EMMR cars (2 dates), Classic series (2 dates), URC 360 Sprints (1 date), STSS Modifieds (1 date), BFTP Vintage Cars (1 date), USAC Sprints ( 1 date) and USAC Midgets (1 date.). The Auto Racing Club of Hagerstown (ARCH) will also have a night at the speedway.
Track management has announced some pricing for the upcoming season.
Pit passes for Saturday night shows will be $25 and $30 for 410 Sprint car events.
General admission has been set at $14 for Adults for most shows for the upcoming season while youth admission will be just $10 and kids 12 and under will always be free.
Susquehanna Speedway will also bring back senior citizen discounts, repeat fan discounts, good neighbor discounts and there will be plenty of $2 off coupons to use throughout the season.
Fans looking for season long passes, seats and parking will be able to begin purchasing these items at the Susquehanna Speedway booth at the Racing Xtravaganza show on February 6 and 7 at the Utz Arena on the York Fairgrounds.
Season general admission for all 41 races will be $350 while season pit passes for all 41 races will be $450. Fans can also purchase VIP Parking for $75 for the season while race teams may purchase reserved pit stalls for just $50. Reserved grandstand seats will be $50 for the season as well.
Fans are encouraged to pay with check or cash at the show to help speed things along at the booth.
