Indianapolis, IN — (February 2, 2016) — Tony Stewart was injured on Sunday afternoon in a non-racing related incident. Stewart-Haas racing released a statement on Tuesday that Stewart had sustained a back injury in a non-racing accident on Sunday afternoon. Stewart was transported to a local hospital following the accident and is being evaluated. The statement also indicated Stewart was awake, alert, and able to move all extremities. More information on Stewart’s condition will not come until late Thursday night.
