The United Rebel Sprint Series along with the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Series are proud to be bringing the best of 305 Sprint Car racing back to Colorado in 2016. The recent agreement to co-sanction with IMCA has brought the ten year old series back to the State of Colorado. In a partnership with Don Hulse, Owner/Promoter of Colorado Motorsports Park in Byers Colorado the 305 racing series has been given a huge shot in the arm from the URSS/IMCA partnership. Colorado racers will now be able to compete for IMCA Colorado and National Points as well as URSS Regional and National points as well.

CMSP will host eight URSS/IMCA Colorado Regional dates as well as a National Points race date in 2016.

URSS/IMCA Regional Points races are scheduled for Saturday April 23rd, Saturday May 28th, Saturday June 25th, Saturday August 27th, Saturday September 17th, Saturday September 24th, and Friday October 7th.
CMSP will host the seventh of the twelve URSS/IMCA National Points race dates on Saturday July 30th which will draw racers from several states to compete on the lightning fast 3/8’s mile oval. For more information on the 2016 CMSP Weekly Schedule, Rules and Driver Signups visit the track website at

Also new to the URSS Series in 2016 is the purchase of a new transponder based scoring system. Scoring loops have been purchased for ten scoring loops for URSS/IMCA RaceSaver Series tracks and will be installed prior to the beginning of the season. The new scoring system will bring an added layer of redundancy to the scoring procedure and will enabled the series to assure the racers and the fans a new level of accuracy an consistency at the tracks. Drivers will have three options to rent or purchase the transponders for the upcoming racing season. Drivers can purchase the units outright for $125.00 or can purchase them by making six $25.00 payments or the transponders can be rented for $10.00 per race at the URSS/IMCA RaceSaver Series Trailer each night.

The transponders for the new scoring system are capable of running several years of competition before needing to be recharged unlike some previous systems. The new scoring system is being made possible with the help of Series Sponsor Steve Cranston of S&S Trailer Sales of Ness City who provided the upfront funding for the system. The URSS/IMCA RaceSaver series is grateful that Steve made this loan to the Series to help improve the shows for all of the competitors and race fans alike. This arrangement was specifically made to benefit all of the race teams in the Series for the upcoming 2016 Season and the Series is grateful that this new advancement in scoring technology will help the series grow exponentially this season.
