TK Tops Badlands Motor Speedway Twice

PETERSEN

– Tim Kaeding is hot at the Badlands Motor Speedway right now and over the weekend he found himself celebrating two more wins at the Brandon, SD facility.timkaedingtopstory

“I knew it was just a matter of time until we hit our stride, and we are hitting at the right time and winning some good money for this race team,” Kaeding said.

Saturday night at the Badlands Motor Speedway, TK would lead the field to green aboard his Folkens Bros. Trucking/Dammer Trucking/Mihm Trucking No. 3 machine with Terry McCarl and Justin Henderson giving chase.

Setting a torrid pace out front, Kaeding was in cruise control until he found himself in lapped traffic. Once in traffic, McCarl was able to close in on the race long leader, but Kaeding would have none of it as he fended of ‘T Mac’s” advances.

Able to get some breathing room, Kaeding would feel pressure from Justin Henderson over the race’s final two circuits, but on this night TK was simply too good as he went on to pick up his first Badlands 410ci win of the season.

Returning to the track on Sunday night to take part in the 360ci event, Kaeding found himself battling with Jack Dover and Justin Henderson as the battled inside the Top-Five during the early portions for the feature event.

Flexing his muscles, the San Jose, CA driver was able to work his way up to the second spot as he set his sights on race leader, Wade Nygard. Over the final laps of the feature event, TK would challenge Nygard for the top spot, but taking the checkered flag in the second spot, Kaeding would be awarded the win as the winner failed to stop at post race tech inspection.

“It was a great weekend for our team, and was really nice to win a big race on Saturday night,” TK added. “To win two races in the 360ci division like we have so far this year is a little strange, but at least it means we were in a good position all night.”

The Lunstra Motorsports team would like to thank Folkens Bros. Trucking, Dammer Trucking, Mihm Trucking, Yager Agriculture Supply, Matt’s Repair, and Trac2Trail Arctic Cat for their support in 2016.

ON TAP: TK and the Lunstra Motorsports team will take on the World of Outlaws on Friday night at the River Cities Speedway, will return to the Badlands Motor Speedway on Saturday night, and will meet back up with the World of Outlaws on Sunday night at the Brown County Speedway.
