Port Royal Salute to the Military Night Slated for Saturday

PORT ROYAL, Pa. — (July 24, 2016) — Slivinski Law Offices of Selinsgrove will present Salute To The Military Night at Port Royal Speedway this Saturday, July 30 a 7:30 pm.

The special Free-To-The-Military racing program offers action for the Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprints, the Aumiller’s Insurance super late models, the Gray’s Auto & Towing 355 econo late models and the All American Outlaws.

Past or present military members will need to present either a military form DD214 or a Veterans Administration card at the general admission ticket windows in order to take advantage of the free general admission offer.

Adult general admission for the show is $15 with students age 12 – 18 admitted for $7. General admission gates will open at 5:30 pm.

All veterans in attendance will be honored during pre-race ceremonies.

Joey Hershey is the most recent sprint car winner, having taken his first ever speedway victory back on June 16. Dylan Yoder proved victorious in the special Summer Championship for late models that night as well.

The speedway returns one week later, on Saturday, August 6 at 7 pm with the 10th running of the Living Legends Dream Race for 410 sprint cars, honoring driver Randy Wolfe and car owner John and Pee Wee Zemaitis.

The event offers over $55,000 in sprint car purse money alone plus another $10,000 for the super late models.
