“This is awesome,” Joey Saldana said. “We set out in 2016 to win races, and its been a little bit since our last one. Dennis and Teresa Roth give this team great equipment to compete at a high level, and it’s nice to get them a win.”

For the first time since 2009, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series checked into the ultra high banked facility located in Cameron, MO, and Saldana would set the tone early as he timed the Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/Roth Investments entry in third quickest in time trials.

Grabbing the heat win, the ‘Brownsburg Bullet’ would advance from fourth to second in the Craftsman Club Dash, which would place him on the front row of the 35-lap feature event.

Though it was Danny Lasoski getting the initial jump, Saldana would make his move on a lap five restart as he rode the rim to grab the race lead. In just a matter of laps, Saldana found himself in thick traffic but was able to muscle his car through the openings.

The race’s final stoppage would come just before the halfway point, and Saldana again would use the high-side to his advantage as he fended off Lasoski’s advances and continued to lead the way.

While Saldana led the way, Jason Johnson would move into the second spot and become a threat late the in the race. With the track extremely demanding on this night, Saldana would continue muscle his car through some rough spots and fend off Johnson as he scored his fifth win of the year, and his 99th career World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series win.

“We rolled out a different on Saturday night, and it was a nice piece,” Saldana added. “We brought Tyler Swank in last week, and it is great to get a win so quickly together. It is also nice to have a trophy to give to my son for his Birthday.”

In action that took place earlier in the week, Saldana would score an 11th place finish at the El Paso County Raceway in Colorado before being scored in the 17th spot at the Clay County Speedway on Friday night.

The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, Roth Investments, Southern Pacific Farms, 3H Cattle,  Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2016.
