CONCORD, N.C. (October 18, 2016) — Warm and sunny conditions are forecast for the fast approaching OneDirt World Short Track Championship, starting this Thursday at the Dirt Track at Charlotte. And DIRTcar Racing would like to remind everyone that family members of all ages will be welcome into the pit area for this “family reunion.”

For the first time at the Dirt Track at Charlotte, children under 17 will be allowed in the pit area. Minors will be required to have a Charlotte Motor Speedway waiver signed by both parents or guardians in order to enter the pit area with a regularly priced pit pass. Please note that if both parents are not present at the event, the waiver must be completed in advance, signed by both parents or guardians and notarized.

Waivers are available at charlottemotorspeedway.com/waivers.

Dirt racing’s “family reunion” kicks off this Thursday with an all-new, three-day event at the Dirt Track at Charlotte. The OneDirt World Short Track Championship will put on center stage nine divisions, featuring the best weekly racers across the country, in pursuit of a purse in excess of $120,000, plus contingency awards in excess of $50,000.

The mega-event, from October 20-22, will be the prelude to the prestigious Bad Boy Off Road World of Outlaws World Finals, which will also feature a family-friendly pit area with the proper waivers.
