Not ending the season how he would have liked, Cody Lamar and still look back and be proud of his 2016 campaign.

“We ended our season on Saturday night in Stockton, CA and it sure could have gone better,” Lamar said. “It was my first time visiting the place and it was fun, I just wish our night would have lasted longer.”

With 49 cars checked into the facility for the finale Civil War Series event of the year, Lamar would get his night started off by timing in 18th fastest in his qualifying flight.

Lining up at the tail end of his heat race, Lamar would get collected in a mess on the front stretch that would see him get over and bring his night to a very early end.

Though his season would come to an end in spectacular fashion, Lamar was proud of the year he put together as he was able to score three feature event wins and pick up the Marysville Raceway track title.

“I was looking forward to getting some expeiernce on a big track, but stuff happens in racing,” Lamar said. “It was a great year for our team, and I have to thank my family and everyone that has helped us all year; we certainly could not have done it with their help. We are ready for the offseason and I am looking forward to the 2017 season.

Cody and his team would like to thank A1 Septic, Joe Hunt Magnetos, and NAAKE Suspension for their continued support.
