Naida Wins in Spectacular Style at Winston

People in motor sports often say if you can’t win, be spectacular. Dain Naida managed to do both on the way to his second Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt feature win in as many weeks Friday at the Winston Speedway. Naida took the lead with a last lap pass of 2008 ASCS SOD champion Brett Mann and then slammed into a loose wheel off another competitors car with his top wing while crossing the finish line.

Elite Racing and Allstar Performance Pair Up for Knoxville Nationals

The Knoxville Nationals is the most prestigious event in winged 410
sprint car racing and is the closest thing to an all-star event that these
drivers and teams experience. Therefore, it only seems natural that Jason
Meyers and his Elite Racing team would team up with an Allstar brand for the
upcoming 50th anniversary running of the famed Knoxville Nationals. The
Elite Racing Team and driver Jason Meyers announced today that it will
partner with Allstar Performance, a division of Lane Automotive, for the
2010 Knoxville Nationals coming up August 11-14.

VENTURA 360 SPRINTS IN ACTION THIS SATURDAY

The 360 Sprint Cars of the Ventura Racing Association will return to “The Best Little Dirt Track In America” this Saturday night, July 17th. Also on the card will be the VRA Dwarf Cars, IMCA Modifieds, Sport Compacts, Junior Midgets, and Mini Dwarf Cars. The Front Gates will open at 3:00pm with Racing to start at 5:30pm at Jim Naylor’s Ventura Raceway.

Kaley Gharst – Not Getting A Brake!

Rain put a damper on a two-day race weekend for Kaley Gharst, but the Sprint Invaders managed to get a race in at the Lee County Speedway during their Fair on Friday in Donnellson, Iowa. The Decatur, Illinois driver drove to a fifth place finish after losing his brakes. The he had some tough luck, he pulled to within 13 points of the Sprint Invaders point lead heading into Tipton on Thursday.
