Barney Takes Top Spot in Empire Super Sprint Visit to Thunder Mountain Speedway

Jason Barney was disappointed with his seventh place finish on Friday in the opening night of action for the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints. On Saturday he made some changes and that proved to be just what he needed as he went on to lead all 25-laps to score the win in the E&V Energy, NAPA Auto Parts and Mach 1 Chassis feature at the Thunder Mountain Speedway.

Hafertepe Perfect in Route to Second Win of the Weekend at I-96

Sam Hafertepe Jr. capped off a perfect weekend on Saturday at I-96 Speedway by winning his second feature of the weekend with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVtv and Great Lakes Super Sprints. Hafertpe won every race he contested over the two day span at I-96 including dominating the 30-lap finale.

Kofoid Scores Exciting 410 Win at Fremont

Michael “Buddy” Kofoid had only raced at Fremont Speedway twice, including Saturday, May 18. But, the 17-year-old Penngrove, California driver looked like a long-time veteran, handling a tricky track surface, passing for the lead late in the 410 sprint feature and holding off a challenger to score his first ever win at “The Track That Action Built” on Kistler Engines Night.
