NSRA Championship Weekend up Next at Meridian Speedway

After a long and hard-fought season across the Pacific Northwest the 2016 season will come to a close this weekend for the Royal Purple NSRA Sprint Series. The tour will make their return to Idaho’s Meridian Speedway. Friday, September 16th will be the Tom Elliott Sportsman Classic while Saturday, the 17th wraps up the whole campaign.

Santa Maria hosts USAC Western Midget Car Series Saturday

After a successful Northern California swing to Calistoga and Chico, the USAC Western States Midgets will return to action this Saturday, September 17th, at Santa Maria Raceway. Promoted by Mike Kappmeyer, the tenth point race will also feature IMCA Modifieds, Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks, and American Stocks. The Spectator Gates will open at 4:00pm. The “Jim Hurtubise Classic” and the “Haubstadt Hustler” are on tap in Indiana this week for the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship. Matt Wood Racing Reveals Upcoming Plans

The remaining race plans for the Matt Wood Racing #17w sprint car team have been announced. The rest of the 2016 season will include eleven events. Kerry Madsen, who won the $25,000 Jackson Nationals in Minnesota over Labor Day weekend will pilot the car for the bulk of the races, while Fremont, Califonia’s Shane Golobic will be behind the wheel for the National Sprint League events at St. Francois County Raceway near Farmington, Missouri.
