USAC returns to Gas City on Friday

Robert Ballou of Rocklin, Calif. vaulted into a two-point lead over Chase Stockon in the new AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car standings after winning Friday night’s 30-lap feature at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio and taking fifth in Saturday night’s “Don Branson/Jud Larson Classic” 30-lapper.

Lasoski wins NSL feature at Knoxville

Danny Lasoski won the National Sprint League feature Saturday night at Knoxvile Raceway. Lasoski took the lead from Wayne Johnson and held off a late charge by Tim Kaeding for the victory. Kaeding, Johnson, Bryan Clauson, and Dusty Zomer rounded out the top five.

BOSS rained out at Fremont

Just as the second set of hot laps were hitting the track the rains came at Fremont Speedway on Smith Family Foods Night. The track crew tried to wait it out but just as the equipment hit the track another rain storm struck, forcing the cancellation of the Mo Vaughn Transportation Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) season opener.

Schatz scores first Eldora victory since 2009

Donny Schatz pulled into victory lane on Friday night at Eldora Speedway with the World of Outlaws sprint car series for the first time since 2009. Schatz was able to pass Kerry Madsen in traffic and held on through a late race restart to pick up the feature victory during the “Mother of All Sprint Car Weekend”.

Dollansky to the Beef Packers 83 Car

After spending a couple of weeks with Roth Motorsports on the World of Outlaw trail, Kyle Hirst has decided to head back to his native California and continue his 2015 racing season. With that, Roth Motorsports has hired Elk River, MN driver, Craig Dollansky, to pilot their car this weekend at the Eldora Speedway.
