With the extreme amount of moisture the area has received this past week along with the rain from last night and this morning the grounds and track Friday’s event at Black Hills Speedway has been cancelled. Next week Black Hills will race both Friday night and Sunday afternoon.

Danny Lasoski tops tough local contingent in Farmington

Fortune smiled a bit on Dover, Missouri’s Danny Lasoski Thursday night at the Saint Francois County Raceway in Farmington, Missouri. After shattering the track record in time trials, it looked like he may not get out of his heat race until Bryan Clauson spun, giving him the final transfer spot. Jerrod Hull broke a Jacob’s ladder while leading the feature when he tagged a spun lapped car. Nonetheless, Lasoski did what he had to do in putting himself in position to become the first repeat FVP National Sprint League winner this season.

NSCHoF induction banquet this Saturday

For those that love the sport of sprint car racing, past and present, Knoxville, Iowa, is the place to be this weekend. Amongst those National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCHoF) inductees who have indicated that they will be back for the 26th induction weekend are Dave Argabright of Indiana, Ralph Capitani of Iowa, Shane Carson of Oklahoma, Lanny Edwards of Oklahoma, Rickey Hood of Arizona, Jean Lynch of Pennsylvania, John Mahoney of Indiana, Lynn Paxton of Pennsylvania, Steve Stapp of Indiana, Bob Trostle of Iowa and Dick Wallen of Arizona. These current inductees will be saluted at a Friday night reception on the museum’s second floor, starting at 7 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
