RAIN CANCELS PRACTICE FOR 100th ANNIVERSARY INDIANAPOLIS 500
Rain washed out practice for the 100th Anniversary Indianapolis 500.
Rain fell steadily on the Speedway throughout the day, and IZOD IndyCar Series officials canceled the day’s track activities shortly after 4 p.m. (ET).

USAC racing returns to the Milwaukee Mile on Father’s Day 2011. The Silver Crown Championship and Mopar National Midget Series will cap Saturday race and IndyCar qualifying action on the IZOD IndyCar Series weekend, June 18-19, 2011. The IZOD IndyCars race on Sunday, June 19, 2011.

INDY RACING LEAGUE PLACES MILKA DUNO ON PROBATION
The Indy Racing League, the sanctioning body for the IZOD IndyCar Series, has placed driver Milka Duno on probation through Dec. 31, 2010 for not consistently meeting minimal performance standards.

IZOD INDYCAR SERIES TO RACE IN BALTIMORE IN 2011
Baltimore Racing Development (BRD) formally announced June 2 that the Baltimore Grand Prix will be part of the IZOD IndyCar Series schedule beginning in 2011. The inaugural event has been scheduled for August 5-7, and will be contested on a 2.4-mile temporary street circuit around the scenic Inner Harbor area of downtown Baltimore.

CASTRONEVES CLAIMS WIN AT INAUGURAL BARBER RACE IN FRONT OF ESTIMATED RECORD CROWD
Helio Castroneves won for the first time on a road/street course race since August 2008, taking the inaugural Indy Grand Prix of Alabama presented by Legacy Credit Union at Barber Motorsports Park.
