Handy Racing Promotions Incorporated is proud to announce a new agreement with Hoosier Racing Tires West that will span three years for all three venues under the management of the Roseville based Handy Racing Promotions.
What started back in March at the Placerville Speedway has come full circle and on Saturday night the Golden State Challenge 410 Sprint Car Series will invade the always action packed El Dorado County Fairgrounds bullring for the 2010 season finale.
While Saturday night at Placerville Speedway will bring the spotlight to area youngsters as they have the opportunity to take to the track just like their heroes during intermission
When it comes to racing on the high banks of Placerville Speedway, it doesn’t matter what Billy Wallace sits behind the wheel of, he is simply a master of the foothill clay. Saturday night the former two time winged sprint car champion from Grass Valley illustrated just that as he muscled his way to victory in the Joe Hunt Magnetos Wingless Shootout Series here.
When the late Al Hinds was involved with the operation of Placerville Speedway back in 1968 he was best known for bringing the community together with the speedway. Hinds maintained an uncanny ability to go out and educate the public on the sport of auto racing and in doing so he and his partner, Rich Hirst brought record crowds to the El Dorado County Fairgrounds back in the day.
