Terry McCarl and the VerMeer Motorsports #55 team hit the road last weekend to compete in a pair of events in Illinois and Ohio. It was a trip that the team used to build towards 2012, and the Altoona, Iowa driver showed plenty of speed at both the Jacksonville Speedway and Eldora Speedway.

The VerMeer #55 worked flawlessly as Terry McCarl drove from green to checker to take the $4,000 to win Monster Energy™ Sprint Car Series show last Saturday night at the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa. The win was the Altoona, Iowa drivers seventh of the season.

Terry McCarl has spent the last week on the road, racing with the All Stars and World of Outlaws in the Upper Midwest.

It was easy to see that Terry McCarl and the rest of the family were proud of his 18 year old son Austin at the Nationals.

A last minute decision prompted by a friend resulted in victory with the All Stars at the Huset’s Speedway last Sunday night for Terry McCarl.

It’s not often you get in trouble for winning, but Terry McCarl did just that when he got back to his pit. You see, wife Lori, was hoping her son Austin could make it to Knoxville Victory Lane for the first time ever, but she was also happy with the one-two finish.

Things are going well for a team when a fourth place run at Knoxville Raceway doesn’t feel good.
