Outlaws Thunder Through Plains with Stops in Missouri, North Dakota

After a gunslinging weekend of action in Dodge City, the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series competitors have reloaded and are ready to continue their crusade through middle America. First, it’s a Wednesday-night stop in central Missouri for round three of the Showdown for the Bud Crown at State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, followed by a weekend doubleheader at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D.

Hall of Fame Weekend at Knoxville Next Up for Tony Stewart Racing

Any time the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint car series competes at Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway, it’s a big deal, and this weekend’s trip to central Iowa will be no different. The Outlaws, led by the Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) combo of Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz, return to the “Sprint Car Capital of the World” for three nights of racing at the famed half-mile dirt oval beginning Thursday with the Mediacom Shootout, continuing Friday with the inaugural Hall of Fame Classic Presented by Mediacom, and concluding Saturday with the Mediacom Shootout finale.

Tony Stewart Racing Teams Aim for Strong Showings in Ohio, Michigan

The old adage known as KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) is appropriate for most every endeavor. This week, it would seem to be the recommended approach for Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series teams. After a challenging few nights of competition last weekend, TSR’s Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz return to action with consecutive races in Ohio and Michigan this weekend. First, it’s back to the short tracks with Friday’s stop at Attica (Ohio) Raceway Park, followed by another high-speed, half-mile dirt oval to conquer Saturday, when the traveling Outlaws take to I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Mich.

Competitors love the challenge of beating the best. In the last few weeks, dozens of triumphant athletes left Vancouver with a gold medal draping around their neck. Those Olympians who left without the ultimate prize know it will take more work to achieve the goal of Olympic glory, and they’ll have to wait four years to try again. Kraig Kinser Eyes Strong Finish to Close 2009 Outlaws Campaign

With the focus of this weekend’s World of Outlaws season-ending World Finals squarely on the closest title chase in the series’ 31-year history, it’s going to be tough for anyone other than the championship contenders to gain the spotlight. Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Kraig Kinser would like nothing more than to share the attention with the driver claiming the coveted crown. Winning Saturday night’s final WoO Sprint Car Series feature of 2009 sounds like just the right plan for the 25-year-old third generation driver and a perfect way to head into 2010.
