Glen Niebel Classic Mel Kenyon 100 to Mark USSA’s 101st Green Flag

When the United States Speed Association drops the green flag on the Mel Kenyon Midget Series portion of the Glen Niebel Classic on Sunday April 14 at Anderson Speedway it will mark the 101st time USSA has started a race. Since it’s inception in 2009 the Lebanon, IN based sanctioning body has held an even century of open wheel races.

Bayston, Gaines and Fehr Sign Up for Kenyon Midget series

Spencer Bayston, Clayton Gaines and Cole Fehr have all announced their intention to contest the 2013 Mel Kenyon Midget Series Simpson World Indy Rookie of the Year award. The 17 year old Bayston hails from Lebanon (IN) while Fehr calls Coatesville (IN) home. Clayton Gaines is from Alexandria (IN).

Hunt Entered For Glen Niebel Classic Mel Kenyon 100

Tony Hunt is bringing his ebay Motors pavement sprint car program east on Sunday April 14 to compete in the Glen Niebel Classic Mel Kenyon 100, the opening round of the Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW. Hunt sat on the pole of the 2012 Pay Less Little 500 and has rung up 10 USAC championships during his career.

USSA Beefs-up Sprint Car Challenge Officiating Crew

Officials of the United States Speed Association are pleased to announce that they have contracted with Ronnie Scudder and Jim Haun to serve as race officials for the USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW. Scudder and Haun will join Chief Steward Norm Shields as an important part of the series’ efforts to ensure that the races are contested fairly, consistently and with respect for the teams.

Hoosier and USSA Announce Sprint Car Challenge Series

Hoosier Racing Tire and the United States Speed Association have announced their 2013 Tire Contingency Program for the Sprint Car Challenge Series, Built by the UAW. The program is designed to step outside the traditional open wheel box and directly reward competitors who use Hoosier Racing Tires in the Sprint Car Challenge Series, Built by the UAW for their on-track success.
