Crockett Takes ASCS Northwest Win in Big E Opener!

ELMA, Wash. (August 26, 2011) – Roger Crockett kicked off Grays Harbor Raceway’s Big E Weekend by racing to his fourth ASCS Northwest win of the season in Friday night’s 20-lap main event atop the 3/8-mile clay oval.

The 2009 ASCS Northwest champion worked forward from the eighth starting position to take command just past the midway point en route to his 20th career win under the ASCS banner aboard the Omlid & Swinney No. 11 KPC.

Crockett raced into the lead on the 11th circuit after Travis Jacobson and Jared Peterson battled for the point in the opening rounds and ultimately took the checkered flag ahead of Henry Van Dam, with Jacobson, Jayme Barnes and Peterson rounding out the top five.

Colton Heath was sixth, with Mason Moore, Garen Linder, T.J. Hartman and Randy VanAagten completing the top ten.

Chadd Noland, Linder and Crockett topped heat race action.
