Lanny Edwards Passes Away at Age 76

Lanny Edwards passed away Friday at the age of 76. Edwards was best known as the owner of Devil’s Bowl Speedway, RPM Speedway, and Lawton Speedway along with co-founder of the Chili Bowl Nationals held every January in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Edwards was inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum in 2006. Edwards was instrumental in the growth of sprint car racing by hosting the first ever World of Outlaws event at Devil’s Bowl.
