Donny Schatz capped off another strong season by becoming only the 2nd driver in history with 4 consecutive World of Outlaws Championships, all on AFCO by BENIC Shocks. Schatz also won his 4th consecutive Knoxville Nationals and had 12 WoO wins, 39 top 5’s and 54 top 10’s during the ’09 campaign. Congratulations to Donny, Ricky, Shane and the entire TSR team on another great season!
In Little Rock, Tony Bruce, Jr. proved that last year wasn’t a fluke as he led 36 of 40 laps from his 5th starting spot to take home the $15,000 winner’s share at the ASCS Short Track Nationals. It was the 2nd consecutive win for Bruce in the prestigious event as he bested 100 of the best sprint racers in the nation. AFCO by BENIC Shocks swept the top 2 positions as Wayne Johnson came home in 2nd place. It was a very successful week in Little Rock for AFCO by BENIC Shocks as Johnson also brought home a victory during the Thursday preliminary feature, Bruce finished 3rd on his prelim night and Danny Wood ran 3rd on his prelim night and led 3 laps on Saturday before settling into a solid 7th place finish.
In California, Levi Jones all but locked up another USAC Sprint car championship with a strong showing at the Oval Nationals in Perris. Running AFCO by BENIC Shocks, Jones won on Friday night and finished 3rd on Thursday and Saturday to extend his point lead over fellow Benic Shock Services competitor Dave Darland to 178 points with 2 races remaining.

Clauson won on Thursday and ran 4th in the finale in the Clauson Racing Maxim and Stanbrough set fast time and ran 2nd Thursday & Friday in the Indiana Underground Maxim.
