From Dick Jordan

USAC’s .southeastern .25 Midget Series participants will compete in a six-race series to determine this year’s “East Coast Challenge” champion. The six races are slated from May to October.

Lanier Speedway near Atlanta, home of the Metro Atlanta Quarter Midget Association, serves as host for May 15 and October 23 events which will open and close the series. The May 29 and October 2 races are scheduled at NCQMA Speedway in Salisbury, N.C., home to the North Carolina Quarter Midget Association. Races June 12 and August 7 are at the Ambassador Racing School track in Winauma, Fla., home of the Tampa Bay Quarter Midget Racing Association. The locations are subject to change pending USAC sanctioning by other tracks in the southeast.

“This series-within-series concept is one we feel will produce some spectacular competition,” says USAC Developmental Series Director James Spink. ‘We are happy to welcome the Metro Atlanta and North Carolina clubs to the USAC fold in 2010 as we continue to expand our inventory of youth-releated motorsports programs.”

Points earned from each of the events will be tallied to determine the overall champions of each division during the six-race series.
