AKRON, Ohio (March 14, 2010) — Craig Dollansky and Jason Sides won feature events as the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series performed the Texas Two Step over the weekend. Dollansky won at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore and Sides took the trophy at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown.
Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the rear wheel positions in the Outlaws series and most teams use Goodyear tires on the front corners as well.
The wins by Dollansky and Sides bring to six the number of feature winners in the first seven Outlaws races.
Dollansky collected his first victory of the season and the 32nd of his career, besting Steve Kinser for the Lone Star win. Joey Saldana finished third, followed by Jason Meyers and Sides. Donny Schatz posted the quickest time in qualifying, touring the half-mile oval in 14.411 seconds, averaging 124.905 mph.
Sides has finished among the top 10 in each race this season, but his HRP win was his first of the 2010 season. He has won five Outlaws races in his career. The 40-lap race was completed with only one caution period. Tim Kaeding finished second, followed by Schatz, Saldana and Paul McMahon.
Saldana leads the standings in the early going with 1,021 points. Meyers is second with 998.
