KISS Highly Ranked In Annual Racing Index

kiss King of Indiana Sprint Series

By Mike O’Leary

April 15, 2009 – Auto Racing Analysis recently announced its annual Competition Index results, and the King of Indiana Sprint Series (KISS) was ranked second overall among Series Of Less Than 15 Races. In the announcement, it was noted that the KISS series boasted 6 different winners in 6 races in 2009, achieving a perfect score. KISS trailed only the ASCS Rebel Series (7 winners in 7 races) and led 54 other series in that category, which considered the worldwide market.

Bloomington Speedway promoter Mike Miles said that this honor says a lot for the KISS track promoters, who have figured out how to work together to put on the annual tour. In addition to the promoters, credit also goes to Bryan Clauson, Nic Faas, Chris Windom, Billy Puterbaugh, Jon Stanbrough and series champion Brady Short, who captured KISS victories at Gas City I-69, Lawrenceburg, Bloomington, Kokomo, Tri-State and Paragon Speedways last year.

Auto Racing Analysis (ARA) has been providing research and analysis of motorsports since 1983, combining insightful analysis of current racing events with an unmatched historical perspective. The 2010 KISS kick off is only a month away, at Gas City I-69 Speedway on May 14, and a repeat of the ARA Index honor is a distinct possibility. Demonstrating the high degree of competition in the KISS events, twenty-two different drivers have won KISS feature races over the series’ 9-year run, but only eight of them have multiple wins.
