ROSSBURG, OH (May 24) – When the NRA (National Racing Alliance) Sprint Invaders attack Eldora Speedway Sunday night (May 30), Tim Allison is hoping to end a slump. The Cridersville, OH native sits safely on top of the all time 360 Sprint division win list at Eldora with 14 wins, but it has been since 2006 that he has moved into victory lane.

With 100 events documented to date, Allison’s win record is impressive at 14% of his appearances resulting in a trip to the stage.

Since his last triumph on August 16, 2006, Allison’s biggest rivals have been Dale Blaney, Butch Schroeder and Darren Long; who between them have excelled in nine of the fourteen main events contested.

Blaney heads up that list with five wins, while Schroeder and Long each have two victories.

Recent visits to Eldora have results in a mixed bag of results for Allison, including mechanical issues that have forced him into the pit area while leading the main event.

Weather issues have plagued the NRA Tour thus far into the early part of the 2010 campaign, with only one points race having been completed at the time of this writing. At that event, Allison looked like the driver of old, after charging to finish third from his seventh place starting position at Limaland Motorsports Park on April 30. He finished behind Schroeder and J.R. Stewart.

Sunday’s race will complete a busy weekend for the NRA Sprint Invaders, with points meets at Limaland Friday night and Waynesfield Speedway on Saturday evening.

Joining the NRA Sprint Invaders at Eldora will be the Sunoco sponsored American Late Model Series for their second visit of the 2010 season, along with the Stock Cars. A 7:30 PM race starting time is on tap.
