Super Shox racer Sammy Swindell was oh so close to victory in the Knoxville nationals final. Swindell who lead every lap up until the 45th when Schatz pulled a slider in 4 to lead the lap then Sammy charged back by to take the lead into turn one and pulled away from his closest competition only to have the left rear tire blow in turn 4 on the 47th lap. That was the heart breaking end to a near perfect nationals week with a second place finish in the 360 nationals and a win at Oskaloosa after a fierce battle with Tyler Walker who has also made the switch to Super Shox then in Thursdays nights qualifier where Sammy went out last and qualified 10th then came from last to first in his heat and lead every lap of the A-main to take the win.
Other Super Shox racers cleaned up in Wisconsin on Saturday with Brian Kristan taking the win in the 410 class and Todd Lehr winning the mini sprint race at Wilmot and Kurt Davis took the MSA win at Plymouth.
