The Lane Automotive MTS Sprint Series made a return to northern Michigan’s Cherry Raceway on a cool Saturday night special.
Keith Love lead the field to the green in the Engine Pro A-main with Steve Irwin making quick moves from 4th to take the early lead. Mike Galadja worked his way back around Irwin to the top spot until Joe Bares rocketed up from 7th position on the low groove to challenge Galajda and take the lead around the half way point. The Only caution came late in the feature setting up a 2 lap dash for the finish. No one would challenge Bares as Steve Irwin moved from 4th to 2nd in the last 2 laps. Mike Astrauskas finished 3rd with Keith Love edging Galadja at the line for 4th.
