ESS Celebrating 25 years at the Motorsports Expo on March 12 and 13

SYRACUSE, NY – The annual Motorsports Expo presented by Gater Racing News is celebrating its 25th Anniversary and the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS) is very proud to be there for each and every one of the extravaganzas! March 12 and 13 are the dates, the Verizon Center of Progress Building is the place where fans can see the stars and cars from the Lucas Oil tour.

The ESS booth will be packed with a total of six winged machines from New York and Quebec, Canada. Leading the brigade will be the defending and three-time ESS champion #28FM of Steve Poirier. The FM Industries backed sprinter will be making its second appearance at the Expo and this will be the first outing towards the 2011 title defense.

Fans will be in for a treat, not only will the champion’s mount be on display but so will the 2010 Lane’s Yamaha Rookie of Year #13 of Kevin Ward Jr. The Westward Painting Co. sprinter will be back on the tour for 2011 in hopes of even building on an incredible rookie season.

The list doesn’t stop there…Fans will also see the Cobra Coaches #45 of the Cobra himself Chuck Hebing, the Schneider Packaging #87 of Jason Barney, the Charlie Heights Motor Works #12T of Tyler Rice and the Warren’s Auto Body #22Z of Mark Zemcik.

For Hebing and Barney, they have been a part of the ESS booth’s on the past and its great to have them back once again. For Rice and Zemcik, this will be their maiden voyage but these two young stars are looking to tackle the tour for 2011 and will be welcome additions at the Expo.

Fans will also get a chance to pick up the new tour 2011 t-shirts and hoodies as well as brand new designer hoodies and women’s shirts all from the great folks of ASI Racewear. Hats, decals, videos and other items will be on hand as well as the new Lucas Oil Tour schedule cards.

In what has become a yearly tradition, the ESS autograph session will be held on Saturday at 2PM. Stop by and get your favorite driver’s autograph or take a photo.

The Expo is the always recognized as the kickoff to the upcoming racing season. The first official green flag will then be waved on Saturday April 30th at the Can-Am Motorsports Park for the $2,000 to win ESS season opener. A total of 29 dates fill the docket with visits to NY, Pa., Ontario and Quebec, Canada.
