Bullring Action Upcoming for CDR

From CDR

Last week the bright lights of Las Vegas shined on The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for two nights of World of Outlaws competition as Craig Dollansky made his 43rd and 44th appearances at the half-mile oval. Up next, the Big Game Treestands #7 team continues their trek west as they invade California this weekend for the first of four short track, ‘elbows up’, events starting with the Mini Gold Cup at Silver Dollar Speedway on Saturday and continuing into April.

In the days leading up to racing in ‘The Golden State’, Dollansky shared some thoughts on the Las Vegas Nationals and the upcoming event in Chico.

Vegas Night 1
Qualifying: 5th
Heat Race: 2nd
Dash: 5th
A-Main: 5th, start (5)

“We qualified well on the first night in Vegas and got into the top two in the heat to get us into the dash mix. After running fifth in the dash the car was pretty decent and we got up to third in the feature but the latter part of the race we had some restarts and started having some trouble with our tires and we ended up losing a couple of positions at the end.”

Vegas Night 2
Qualifying: 11th
Heat Race: 1st
Dash: 6th
A-Main: 7th, start (6)

“On the second night we qualified eleventh, won our heat race, and got into the dash again. We made some good progress in the dash from the back row to get up to the sixth spot. Right away in the feature I knew we were going to struggle with the car, I almost spun it out starting the race and dropped back to eleventh. We weren’t where we needed to be so we just tried to hang on to it throughout the race. We worked our way back past a few cars and got home in one piece. We know what we have going on and we’ll to go work on that for California.”

Up next, Silver Dollar Speedway on March 12th

“I’m looking forward to going back to Chico,” commented Dollansky. “Chico has been one of my favorite tracks. We have a great Big Game Treestands team here with DJ, Luke, and Troy and everyone that supports this team and what we have going on. I’m really looking forward to getting there and racing Saturday night.”
