PADUCAH, Ky. – April 15, 2011 – For the second time this season, rain has forced World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series officials to postpone an event. Series and track officials conferred and mutually decided track conditions were not going to permit the running of Friday night’s scheduled event. Officials are working on a make-up date for the race.
Entering this weekend, Joey Saldana is leading the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series championship point standings with 20-time champion Steve Kinser only four markers back. Former champions Jason Meyers and Donny Schatz, along with the series’ most recent winner Jason Sides, round out the Top 5.
The Outlaws will head Saturday to I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo., just south of St. Louis, where last August Meyers held off Lucas Wolfe at the checkered flag to win the Ironman 55. For more information on the World of Outlaws, visit WorldofOutlaws.com.
Weekly racing action at Paducah International Raceway continues next Friday evening. For more on Paducah International Raceway, go to PaducahRacing.net.
