Looking Ahead to ‘The Grove’!

From CDR

A weekend double-dip of action was on tap this past weekend for Craig Dollansky and Big Game Treestands #7 team as they carried momentum from their second victory of the season earlier in the week into Eldora Speedway in western Ohio.

Friday night’s program began with Dollansky turning the sixth fastest time in qualifying and although the team missed the dash race they would battle back come feature time to record another top ten finish. The team led by DJ Lindsey and the ‘Dollansky Duo’ of Troy and Luke learned some things from Friday’s program and looked to apply them the following night, unfortunately rain showers that have plagued the World of Outlaws series over the past month would re-emerge on Saturday and cancel the event.<--break->

Before heading to Pennsylvania where action resumes on Friday, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ shared some thoughts on the races at Eldora and what’s ahead at Williams Grove Speedway this coming weekend.

Eldora
Qualifying: 6th
Heat Race: 4th
A-Main: 9th, start (13)

“From the start of the night to the end we didn’t get our car very balanced out and kind of struggled the whole night. We qualified decent but didn’t get ourselves in the top two in the heat which started us in the seventh row of the feature. We struggled in the feature and kind of settled in and got what we could. Some of those restarts went in our favor and some worked against us and really the last one cost us a couple positions. Afterwards we talked about some things we were going to change for the next night and we were really looking forward to running Saturday but never got the opportunity.”

Looking Ahead to Williams Grove Speedway on Friday and Saturday

“It’s good that we’re starting to get some racing in and get some cooperation out of Mother Nature. Williams Grove is definitely a track I always enjoy going to so we’re looking forward to getting out there. We have some of our manufacturers that support us and our motor builder Brian Morrison out there which gives us an opportunity to visit some of those people we normally don’t have a chance to. I’m looking forward to getting out there and doing some racing at a track I really enjoy.”
