Boothill Showdown Yields 13th Top-Five

Following their fifth triumph of the World of Outlaws season on Friday, the Big Game Treestands #7 team returned to Dodge City Raceway Park on Saturday for the conclusion of the Boothill Showdown.

Another hot day in Dodge City, Kansas saw 26 competitors sign in for action at the high-banked 3/8-mile with the Karavan Trailers Maxim turning the third fastest lap overall in qualifying at 13.809 seconds. Heat race competition would see Dollansky start fourth in the third heat and finish 4th to earn a spot in the dash thanks to his strong qualifying time. With the six pill drawn for the dash inversion, Dollansky started along side Ben Gregg in row two and raced past the #2B to finish 3rd.

When the green flag dropped on the 30-lap A-Main, much of the field held position as ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ ran third by the first caution on lap 6. As racing resumed Dollansky continued to anchor the third position until lap 12 when teammate Sammy Swindell raced past the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products #7. Action continued until the final caution bunched up the field with 9 laps to go. On the double-file restart Dollansky closed in on the Big Game Treestands #1 of Swindell but the track laid rubber, making passing very difficult, and the Aggressive Hydraulics backed sprinter crossed the finish line in 4th.

“We had a good weekend winning Friday night and were a top five car on Saturday on a track that was hard to pass,” commented the Minnesota driver who now has 13 top-five finishes and moved to within 69 points of the leader in the championship standings. “We’re ready and looking forward to heading to Wisconsin for this weekends events.”

The Big Game Treestands #7 team now heads to ‘The Badger State’ for two events beginning on Friday, June 8th, at Cedar Lake Speedway and Beaver Dam Raceway on Saturday.
