The United Trailers NSCHoF Golf Classic, held in Memory of Kevin Gobrecht, will take place at the Bos Landen Golf Club in nearby Pella at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, August 12. Individuals, teams and walk-up’s are welcome.
The NSCHoF Performance Racing Industry (PRI) “Salute to Sprint Car Racing Builders/Manufacturers” special reception will be held on the second floor of the National Sprint Car Museum at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, although it is an invitation-only event.
The schedule for the sixth annual Knoxville Nationals Fan Fair, to be held in the first floor, east wing, of the Donald Lamberti National Sprint Car Museum is as follows:
11 a.m. – “Sprint Car Driver Safety Improvements: Past, Present & Future” with host Greg Nicol (Speedway Motors) & special guests Brian Butler (ButlerBuilt Seats), Jack Elam (J&J Chassis), and Jay Braxton (HANS),
1 p.m. – “Sprint Car Racing: An Historical Perspective” with host Gary Guehler (Texas Motor Speedway) and special guests Shane Carson and Jerry Stone,
3 p.m. – “Meet the Posse” with host Bruce Ellis (Williams Grove Speedway) & special guests Greg Hodnett, Daryn Pittman, Justin Henderson, Brian Montieth, Kenny Jacobs and Michael Heffner (car owner); presented by www.hoseheads.com.
