August 16, 2011 – The annual “Night of the Twins” at the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa commences this Saturday night, August 20! A regular program for the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders featuring heats, the Shake-Up Dash, the B feature and a main event will be run. Then we will invert the field and run them again!

Two features mean double the points for the Sprint Invaders, and points are currently at a premium! Two-time series’ champion, “Lil’ Dude” Bobby Mincer, is atop the current standings, but Matt Sutton is only sixteen markers back. “Flyin’” Ryan Jamison is third in the points ahead of “Showtime” Kaley Gharst and Jimmy Davies.

The series’ season opener was lost to rain at 34 Raceway, so this marks the first appearance at the 3/8-mile oval in 2011. It is the 26th event at 34 in the history of the series. Matt Rogerson leads the all-time list in wins for the Sprint Invaders at the 3/8 mile oval with five in his career. Jerrod Hull (4), Mincer (3), Gharst (3), John Schulz, Mike Houseman Jr. and Sutton (2) are the other multi-time winners at 34.

Pit gates open Saturday at 4:00 p.m., with Grandstands opening at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps will be at 6:30, with racing to follow. Adult General Admission is $16, with Senior and Student tickets $14. Kids 10 and under with a paid Adult are FREE.
