Black Hills Yields Top Ten

From CDR

‘The Great Northern Tour’ and more action in ‘The Mount Rushmore State’ rolled on Tuesday for the Big Game Treestands #7 team as they took on Black Hills Speedway located in Rapid City.

With 27 cars signed into the pit area, Dollansky posted the 13th fastest lap aboard the Karavan Trailers #7 by turning a lap of 15.208 seconds around the ½-mile. Missing the heat race inversion by just one position would put ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ on the inside of row three for the first heat. In the 8-lap heat race, the racing surface was still fast and narrow as the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim finished 5th.

Looking to make a charge in the 25 lap A-Main, Dollansky started in the thirteenth position. When the green flag dropped racing stayed green until Cody Darrah got upside down on lap 2 and Bill Rose flipped on the restart. The two early reds would be the only stoppages for the feature as the remaining laps went ‘clean and green’ as the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products backed sprinter worked into the top ten by lap 10. Dollansky would gain two more positions before the checkered flag flew as he raced past Chad Kemenah by lap 15 and then Kraig Kinser in the last handful of laps to finish 8th and earn the KSE Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars.

Up next, the Big Game Treestands #7 team heads back to Canada this weekend for two events at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta beginning on Friday.
