CLAUSON-HAGEN-LARSON MIDGET BATTLE RESUMES AT “4-CROWN” 9/24

Bryan Clauson, Darren Hagen and Kyle Larson resume their battle for the 2011 Mopar USAC National Midget championship September 24 in the “4-Crown Nationals” at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Clauson’s lead over Hagen is just three points, while Larson is only 18 back of the leader.

Rain forced postponement of Saturday night’s “Pepsi Nationals” USAC/BMARA Midget race at Angell Park in Sun Prairie, Wisc. USAC and track officials are hoping to rescheduled the race this year and will announce a new date when it becomes firm.

Brad Kuhn of Avon, Ind. won Friday night’s 30-lap “Bob Tattersall Memorial: Mopar USAC National Midget race at LaSalle (Ill.) Speedway, leading the final 28 laps in his Rotondo Weirich/Champion Brands Beast/Fontana. Kody Swanson led the first two laps and Kuhn led the rest of the way to beat Jerry Coons Jr., Bryan Clauson, Tracy Hines and Kyle Larson. Zach Daum was the fastest LaSalle qualifier.

The LaSalle race honored the memory of USAC’s 1969 National Midget Champion, who scored 63 National feature victories during his illustrious career.
