Chico, CA……..Kyle Larson of Elk Grove, Calif. led the final eight laps of Thursday night’s 28-lap “Tiner Family Classic” AMSOIL USAC/CRA/Western Classic Sprint race at Silver Dollar Speedway, part of the track’s 58th “Gold Cup Race of Champions” program. Larson, piloting a BK Motorsports entry, passed Kyle Hirst on lap 21 and led the rest of the the way to beat fast qualifier Jac Haudenschild, Matt Mitchell, Hirst and USCA/CRA point leader Mike Spencer. Mitchell now trails Spencer by 37 points in the new USAC/CRA standings. Shane Golobic, Geoff Ensign, Hirst and Larson all led during the 28-lap contest.
David Prickett of Fresno, Calif. led all 35 laps to win Thursday night’s Mopar USAC Western Midget race co-sanctioned by BCRA at Silver Dollar Speedway, part of the track’s 58th “Gold Cup Race of Champions” event. Prickett and his NLMS/DPR Spike/Van Dyne were trailed at the checkered flag by series point leader Cory Kruseman, Shane Golobic, Matt Streeter and Michelle Decker. Kruseman emerged with a 42-point lead over Prickett in the new Mopar USAC Western Midget standings.
