Oxnard, CA — (November 9th, 2011) — Due to the coming storm that is reported to be bringing up to 2+ inches of rain to the coastal areas of Ventura County this Friday and Saturday, Ventura Raceway has decided to cancel its scheduled event for Saturday November 12. This early notice will allow our competitors and fans the ability to plan alternate activities for this weekend.
We will be announcing a modified schedule for the final race of the 2011 season on November 19, as soon as the new schedule is determined. Some of the format from the 12th event will be moved to the 19th event and be included with that night’s activities to allow championships in these divisions to be determined. At this time the VRA Regular Sprint Cars will not be included in this event as their championship has been determined with Greg Taylor earning the 2011 series championship.
