Las Vegas, NV……..Three-time USAC Silver Crown Champion Bud Kaeding of Campbell, Calif. won Thursday night’s 20-lap “Sin City Showdown” for the USAC West Coast and ASCS Canyon Region Sprint cars at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Dirt Track. Kaeding trailed Ryan Bernal until the white-flag lap, the paced the final two circuits to win the race over Bernal, Casey Shuman, Troy Rutherford and Danny Sheridan. The race featured four different leaders. Danny Sheridan led the first three laps, Rutherford led the next two and Bernal led 13 before yielding to Kaeding. The race was a “special event” and did not offer points toward the 2012 USAC West Coast Sprint Car Championship, which kicks off next Saturday (March 17) at the Tulare (Calif.) Thunderbowl Raceway.
