KWS gives congratulations to Tim Kaeding and Roth Motorsports

2011 King of the West Golden State Sprint Car Series

By Gary Thomas

Rio Vista, CA – March 9, 2012…The Cancen Oil King of the West Sprint Car Series presented by Goodyear would like to congratulate defending champion Tim Kaeding and Roth Motorsports for their World of Outlaws victory on Thursday night in Las Vegas.

The San Jose, California throttle-masher captured the six-lap Dash to earn the pole position in the main event, where he would lead all but two circuits to claim his seventh career World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series win.

The King of the West champ said in the race recap, “We weren’t even expecting to come here. About a week and a half ago we made the decision to come. It’s a hard-fought battle when you can start up front and stay up front with the Outlaws. They’re definitely fast on the half miles. Tonight we just got lucky. We just went out, had a lot of fun and enjoyed ourselves.”

The triumph at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway came a season after Kaeding had driven the HR Cattle No. 83 to a trio of podium finishes with the World of Outlaws. The win was his first with the series since 2009 and came in his initial race this season working with new crew chief Sonny Kratzer.

“I really have to thank Dennis and Teresa Roth and my whole team for giving me such a great car all night,” said the always exuberant driver. “Jason Sides and I raced real clean there at the end and I always enjoy racing with a guy like him. I was definitely happy when the checkered flag came out because it seemed like it would never come.”
