June 12, 2012; Beaver Dam, WI – The Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints will present its 10th racing program of year when the tour makes its stop at Beaver Dam Raceway this Saturday Night June 16th. It will mark the second trip of the season to the semi-banked third mile oval for the 900 horsepower winged-410 sprints . In May the series made it’s first appearance at the track this year, and event which saw four-time and defending series champion Bill Balog outrun Mike Kertscher and Mike Reinke for the victory.

In the nine shows held so far in 2012, Balog has collected five A-main event wins. Single victories have gone to Tommy Sexton, Kertscher, Travis Whitney and Reinke.

Sexton, Kertscher and Reinke are among those favored to have the best opportunity to keep Balog out of victory lane this Saturday night when the fastest cars on dirt make the Beaver Dam visit.

While Balog has dominated in the victory category he has also had a fair number of DNF’s keeping the title chase close. He currently has a slim 10 point lead on Reinke entering the Beaver Dam event. Balog has earned 1226 markers to Reinke’s 1216.

Two time series champion Scott Neitzel sits third in the standings with 1133 points. His best performance so far was a second place run at 141 Speedway on Memorial Day. Neitzel a hometown favorite is due for a trip to victory lane to end a victory drought going back to August of 2011.

Other top competitors expected to appear include Phillip Mock who lead a fair portion of this past weekend’s event at Wilmot Raceway and scored his first podium finish of the year taking third. Russel Borland, Brandon Thone, Scott and Dave Uttech, Bill Wirth, Kris and Dennis Spitz as well as series leading rookie Robbie Pribnow should make an appearance this Saturday evening.

A field of nearly 30 entrants is expected for the contest.

In addition to the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Cars, the tracks weekly Modifieds, Legends and Street Stocks will also be on hand. The Badger Micro 600 Series will also be in attendance. Over 100 cars should be checked into the pit area by race time.

Fans arriving early will be treated to live music from 4:00pm until 6:00pm featuring Cerfus Project.

Pits are scheduled to open at 3:00pm with racing set for 6:30pm Admission prices are $20 for adults. Students ages 6 through 12 are admitted for $10 and children 5 and under are FREE.
