SANTA MARIA, CA – JULY 17, 2012… With the addition of Victorville’s Route 66 Motorplex to the schedule, fans of the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series can look to a rare doubleheader in Southern California. Starting August 18th at Perris Auto Speedway, the “Freeway Series” will conclude the following night at Victorville’s 3/8-mile facility. The doubleheader will test both youngsters and veterans alike, as valuable championship points are available on both nights.
The Saturday, August 18th showcase at Perris Auto Speedway will be the seventh race of the year at Don Kazarian’s 1/2-mile oval. Temecula’s Mike Spencer has dominated the action in Ron Chaffin’s #50 Madera Produce Maxim by winning four of the last five events at USAC/CRA’s “home track.” Nic Faas of Huntington Beach raced Mark Alexander’s #4 Scott Sales Company Spike to the February 25th “Sokola Shootout” victory.
