Its time to officially wrap up the 2012 Canadian Sprint Car Nationals with a look back at our coverage of the 2012 event.

We started things off with a poll on which country the winner of the 2012 Canadian Nationals would call home.  We also launched a brand new Canadian Nationals statistics section that featured various items from the Nationals and a roster of teams that would attend that proved popular with readers and will return for 2013.

2012 was also the first year that Race Time Radio streamed the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals.  It was great working with their crew and we look forward to doing it again in 2013.

We blogged about the Canadian Nationals coming of age before practice on Thursday where Randy Hannagan was the fastest with a lap under the track record.  The night before the Nationals was rained out, so we blogged about passing time in the rain.

Saturday night we had all kinds of updates from the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals thanks to track wide wifi.  Steve Poirier won his third Canadian Sprint Car Nationals as we closed out the Nationals with some final notes.

We have to thank Glenn and Tina Styres and Ken and Cheryl Pelkie for all of their hard work making the Canadian Nationals what it is today. Rich Vleck, Tommy Goudge, and Dean Reynolds helped us do some running for our Canadian Nationals roster.  Goudge, Clinton Geoffrey, and Greg Calnan for doing a great job on the mics and keeping the tower mood light.  Also thank yous Mike Emhof, Doug, and everyone else in the tower that helped with the event.

James MacDonald from Apexone photo provided our awesome header photos for the event while the Best Western in Brantford Ontario for the great lodging and breakfast.  Tim Hortons for having coffee when our hotel in Port Huron did not on Friday morning.

Last, but not least, thank you to all of the drivers and teams for being accommodating during the weekend and putting on another great show at the Canadian Nationals.
