From Jim Hanks

ANDERSON, Ind. (October 4, 2012) – Racing action returns to Anderson Speedway on Saturday, October 6 with the inaugural appearance of the Must See Racing Super Modified Series in the Twin 50’s that pays $5,000 to the feature winner. The racing program will also showcase UMRA Midgets, Mel Kenyon Midgets and Thunder Roadsters.

The race fans are in for a great night of wheel to wheel, bumper to bumper racing with the most exotic race cars on the planet take to the high-banked quarter-mile oval. The Must See Racing Super Modifieds are off-set big block motors with wings that flatten out for straight away speed and pop up in the corners for down force grip, and that makes for a lot of speed, passing and excitement.

The new Twin 50’s format divides the 100 lap feature into two 50 lap segments with a break in between, allowing the race teams to dial the cars in for the last 50 laps. The $5,000 to win purse is sure to bring out the best and fiercest competition.” said Jim Hanks of MSR.

Teams from across the country and Canada are expected, including Ohio’s Charlie Schultz and teammate Matt Marlowe in the powerful May Motorsports entries, Crawfordsville, Indiana Rookie Sondi Eden, Dave McNight of Canada, Jimmy McCune in the of East Bend, North Carolina BioBased.US #88 and recent feature winner Kyle Edwards of Memphis Tennessee.

Others expected to vie for the spotlight are 2012 feature winner Jim Paller, Mike McVetta, Jon Henes, Rich Reid, Danny Shirey, Jack Smith, Brandon Fischer, Cord Erhard, Matt Palmer, Bobby Haynes and local open wheel superstar and fan favorite Aaron Pierce, competing in his first Super Modified race.

The UMRA Midgets will make their only appearance at Anderson Speedway on Saturday night. Heading into this weekend’s action, Jason Goff paces the series point standings with Eric Fehrman and Terry Goff rounding out the top three performers.
