HURRICANE SANDY FORECAST POSTPONES HAGERSTOWN’S BRAWL IN THE FALL

From Hagerstown Speedway

Hagerstown, MD — (October 28, 2012) — Postponed by rain in the past and last year by a Trick or Treat snow storm, but today, with the edge of Hurricane Sandy ready to move into the Hagerstown before race time today, there is no way of completing the Brawl in the Fall program as scheduled.

All qualifying for the 1st Annual Brawl in the Fall presented by Buchanan Auto Park was completed yesterday under overcast skies and mild temperatures however feature events have been postponed until Sunday, November 11th.

The four starting fields are set and the event will start up as already scheduled at noon on the 11th. Pit gates open at 8:00 a.m. while grandstand entrance is at 9:30 a.m. Drivers meeting is at 11:45 with the 410 sprint event getting underway at 12:00 noon.

The speedway hopes all competitors, crew members and fans alike will have a safe trip home and make preparations for this potentially devastating storm that is to take over the Northeast for the next several days.
