Tulsa, OK — (December 14, 2012) — A wild success at the Knoxville Nationals and another great success at the Western World, the Jeff Gordon Charities Kick-it Kickball Game to help in the fight to against childhood cancer is coming to the 27th running of the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire.
“We are beyond thrilled to have a Kick-It event at the Chili Bowl Nationals” commented Jennifer Jones, representative of the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation. “The support from the motorsports community for Kick-It has been overwhelming this year and what better way to kick off 2013 than playing kickball at the Chili Bowl.”
Scheduled for Wednesday January 9, 2013 the Kickball game will be held in the Pavilion at the Expo Square starting at Noon. Teams have already been established with Jon Stanbrough, Kevin Swindell, Blake Hahn, Brandon Hahn, and Hannah Adair serving as Team Captains.
The event will also include a live and silent auction as well as a 50/50 raffle. Admission is simply a donation at the door which will enter you into a raffle for a Flat Screen TV. Anyone willing to help with items for the live and silent auction may contact the Chili Bowl offices at 918-838-3777.
“The Chili Bowl is going to put on one of the biggest Kick-It events we’ve ever seen. It is going to be so much fun, but more importantly, raise money for critical pediatric cancer research.”
