Sydney, Au — (February 16, 2013) — Jackson Delamont was too good and claimed Club Show success tonight here at Sydney Speedway in what proved to be a race filled with stoppages.

The thirty lap feature started off with two bangs, on the initial start Ash Bourke went for a huge roll down the front straight after contact with another car, Ash was A-Ok. The restart then saw Ian Burrows launch into the air as he took a tumble in turns three and four, Ian was also fine. As the race finally got going again Delamont was able to pull away, however second place runner Daniel Needham had an unfortunate moment when he spun in turn four. The field was brought under yellow again.

The restart saw yet another roll when Ben Atkinson collided with Mark Blyton, Atkinson was sent for a wild ride down the back straight ending up half was up the catch fence. Both drivers were ok but Ben was a little shaken up. As the race got back underway Delamont took control storming away from the rest of the field, on two occasions though Delamont nearly had his race ended, he had slight contact with Hayley Sayers then was lucky to avoid a spinning Clayton Hart in turn one. Delamont was unstoppable though and went on to take his first ever feature win. The “Gas Girl” Kelly Linigen tried had but didn’t have enough and came home second with Birthday Boy Blake Skipper rounding out the podium. David Craft and James Thompson completed the top five.

Jay Waugh broke through for his first win of the season in the Wingless division. Damion Abbot lead almost the entire race but was unfortunately passed with a hand full of laps remaining. Alex Orr completed the top three.

Sean Richards was able to turn around a terrible night with a thrilling side by side feature win in the Micro Sprints. Mitch Biner lead all but the final ten centimetres and came home second with Brett Sainsbury in third.

David Robertson won a terrific feature in the Late Models. Michael Hickey and Tim Bink rounded out the podium.

In the Street Stock Martin Blackley did enough to take the win with Lucas Walters and Tony Irwin ending out the podium.
