Brisbane, AU — (April 6, 2013) — In Midget action at Archerfield Speedway it was business as usual with Michael Kendall racing away for an all-the-way win in round 8 of the Polar Ice Track Championship. Kendall cut the quickest lap in time trials, picked up a heat win, started from pole position and led all 20 laps in the feature event to extend his series lead.

Second-placed Matt Smith was spectacular in his pursuit of Kendall, but his penchant for wheelstands and bouncing over the cushion prevented him from mounting any serious bid for the lead. Anthony Chaffey finished in third spot ahead of Grant Draney, Darren Vine, Todd Wanless and former Queensland champ Mark George. Michael Harders, Brock Dean and Matt Greenwood were next best, while Troy Ware, Ashley Jarvis and Rodney Harders trailed the field.

Other heat winners on the night included Vine, Dean and Brendan Palmer, who exited the feature race on lap 14 whilst running strongly in third spot.
